Family finance program to be presented here
Wendy Brumbaugh will be the guest speaker for a program on Family Finance at 7 p.m. on Monday, March 8, in the Monroe City R-l Agriculture Education Building. Participants in this program will be able to identify ways to fill the money gaps, understand financial management concepts, realize negative impacts of predatory lending, weigh financial consequences of credit card debt, recognize spending pitfalls and discover community resources available. The class will consist of hands-on activities, self analysis, and group discussion. Other topics will include a brief overview of new tax credits, writing a grant, and new credit card regulations. This class is sponsored by the University of Missouri Extension and Monroe City Schools adult agriculture education program. The public is encouraged to attend.
